Curing compounds for every application
Choose the right curing compound for optimal concrete strength and durability. A.Shak Construction Chemicals offers a range of curing compounds designed to meet the specific needs of various concrete projects. Each product provides essential moisture retention, promoting proper hydration and ensuring maximum strength development.
AS991 Resin Cure is a high-performance, permanent membrane forming compound ideal for large-scale projects. It effectively cures concrete, enhances adhesion for coatings and finishes, and provides a dust-free surface. It comes in a white pigmented version that is also highly efficient in minimising heat build-up, making it suitable for projects requiring light reflectance.
AS992 Acrycure is a versatile, multipurpose curing compound suitable for both plaster and concrete surfaces. It prevents cracks, does not stain, and allows for various finishes including paint, screed and tiles. (While Acrycure is excellent for general applications, it is not recommended for structural work like columns and slabs.)
AS994 Wax Cure is a membrane-forming wax emulsion compound specifically designed for off-shutter concrete. It ensures proper hydration for surfaces that will receive a later finish, such as plaster, paint or tiling. Although AS994 is suitable for off-shutter finishes, it is suitable for structural elements.
Application and coverage
- AS991: Apply by spraying or brushing within 30 minutes of surface finishing. Coverage rates vary depending on application method.
- AS992: Apply by spraying, rolling or brushing once surface sheen and bleed water disappear. Coverage rate is 6m2 to 8m2 per litre.
- AS994: Apply by rolling, brushing or low-pressure spraying after surface sheen and bleed water disappear. Coverage rate is 4m2 to 6 m2 per litre.
Choose the right curing compound based on your project’s specific requirements and ensure optimal concrete performance.
