Ecentric’s 2024 Black Friday payments dashboard launched
South Africa is expected to generate more than R88 billion in additional economic value for November due to the growing consumer interest in Black Friday sales, according to research from the Bureau of Market Research.
To keep a close eye on these developments, the Ecentric Black Friday Dashboard has officially launched, and this time itās live for the entire week before Black Friday ā delivering a world of real-time payment insights.
Currently, Ecentric processes 20% of South Africaās card transactions and serves as a trusted payments partner to 65% of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed retailers, serving their in-store, online, mobile and omnichannel payments requirements ā making it convenient and affordable for all customers to transact on their preferred channel.
The Black Friday Dashboard will be open for retailers, journalists and analysts until Cyber Monday, 2 December 2024, and will provide access to real-time online and in-person retail payments data reflecting transactions processed by Ecentric.
The interactive dashboard will allow various industry stakeholders in South Africa to understand and track key industry data including year-on-year comparisons of transactions and value spend, understanding payment trends, changes in consumer spending and buying behaviour in 2024.
