RPB Electro Technical Services is a South African company specialising in electrical engineering within Africa and abroad. Its mission is to provide unparalleled service to clients, providing clean and renewable energy sources within South Africa and beyond – improving the quality of infrastructure through technological advancements in engineering.
Founder and director Anke de Klerk was born in Koppies, a small farming town situated in the Free State. After completing her secondary education, she started working in the banking sector, and acquired the following qualifications through UNISA: BCom REK, BCom HR and her degree in banking – all while working full-time and taking care of the family farm.
In 2020, after more than a decade in the banking sector, De Klerk decided to take her business and leadership skills where it was needed most and entered the world of electrical engineering and construction. She saw that the electrical sector needed more skilled and professional companies that could help resolve the crisis in which the industry found itself.
That same year, De Klerk was rewarded a contract for engineering, design and installation of medium-voltage equipment at the GaRankuwa Government Hospital, which was the stepping stone that enabled her to lead her team on numerous successful projects, most notably in the renewable energy sector.
Her leadership skills, professionalism and savvy business sense have led RPB Electro Technical Services to be not only a preferred contractor to some of the biggest companies in the renewable project sector but also a very reliable and dedicated one.
De Klerk firmly believes in creating equal opportunities for everyone. She encourages the upliftment of all the communities in which she works, through the hiring of local labour and sourcing local products – not only in her business but in and around her farm as well.
With a few big projects in the pipeline for 2024, and with De Klerk at the helm to steer the ship, the future of RPB Electro Technical Services looks bright.
