South Africa’s girls and young women need role models who understand their struggles, see their potential and believe in their dreams. Dr Ntombifikile Mtshali, CEO of the non-profit Shout-It-Now, is passionate about providing opportunity and empowering young women for a bright future – both in her professional life as well as in her personal capacity.

Here she shares an honest, hopeful and inspiring message to thank and celebrate young women in South Africa ahead of 16 Days of Activism. This is a message of support, encouragement and hope. A message of appreciation and celebration for each young woman in South Africa.

Although your road may be difficult, we see you, we hear you, you matter. You are not alone, you have so much to offer and we, as a nation, need you and we stand by you.

Shout-It-Now is a South African non-profit that delivers youth-friendly, community-based HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and related services in the Gauteng and North West provinces. In her role as CEO, and as a strong advocate for women and reproductive health rights, Dr Mtshali leads the organisation to continue its modern delivery of HIV and gender-based violence prevention services.

She is an experienced manager with an exemplary 12-year postgraduate track record in clinical work (in both the private and public sectors) and health service management. She seamlessly blends her experience in business re-engineering with her technical expertise and extensive public health management experience, while consistently championing for the right to accessible and cost-effective quality healthcare for all.
