2 min read
As part of its ongoing commitment to inclusive leadership and sustainable development across Africa, Kearney is proud to support the 6th annual Regenesys Women in Business and Leadership Conference. This event takes place on Friday 8 August 2025 at Regenesys Education in Sandton, in celebration of National Women’s Day.

This year’s theme, “Power. Progress. Purpose: Investing in Women to Lead Africa’s Future”, sets the tone for dialogue, collaboration, and action.

Presented in partnership with Business Engage and Voices of Change, and supported by leading organisations, the conference brings together a dynamic network of leaders, innovators, and allies from across the continent.

The programme features keynote addresses from:
  • Albertinah Kekana (CEO, Royal Bafokeng Holdings),
  • Aletta Miller (UN Women Representative, Southern Africa),
  • and Charlotte Mokoena (EVP, Sasol).
It also includes a presentation by Karena Crerar, CEO of Edelman, on trust in Africa and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in two interactive discussions: “From Barriers to Boardrooms: Building an Africa Where Women Thrive” and “Leading Under Pressure and Navigating Bias.”

Jo-Ann Pohl, Senior Advisor at Kearney Africa, will serve as co-MC of the event, reflecting Kearney’s steadfast commitment to fostering inclusive leadership and advancing gender equity across the continent.

“This event is more than a celebration; it’s a catalyst for action—one that reinforces our shared responsibility to invest in women’s leadership,” says Pohl.

“It’s about recognising the power of women to shape economies, influence boardrooms, and lead with purpose. At Kearney, we believe in the strength of partnership to unlock potential, and this platform enables us to elevate both the voices and actions driving meaningful impact across Africa.”
