ER Consulting Inc. and Sasolmed partner to improve emergency care access

ER Consulting Inc. has concluded a groundbreaking network agreement with Sasolmed, effective 1 November 2024. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in improving cost-effective access to emergency healthcare services for Sasolmed members.
“Under the terms of this agreement, Sasolmed will now accept the 7 000 Emergency Unit coding and tariff structure, as endorsed and recommended by the South African Medical Association (SAMA). This important update reduces the likelihood of member-liable claims when Sasolmed members access emergency care at any ER Consulting Inc. managed emergency unit, provided member funds are available,” says Dr Steven Holt, managing director of ER Consulting Inc.
“Our goal has always been to provide top-quality care while addressing the financial concerns of patients, and this partnership strengthens that commitment.”
The new agreement aligns with ER Consulting Inc.’s mission to deliver innovative, patient-centred emergency care solutions. By adopting the SAMA-endorsed structure, ER Consulting Inc. and Sasolmed aim to reduce financial barriers, ensuring more South Africans receive cost-effective, life-saving medical attention.
