The Eastern Cape is set to shine a spotlight on its thriving tourism sector with the launch of the inaugural Eastern Cape Tourism Awards & Expo (ECTA). These initiatives, taking place during Tourism Month, aim to recognise outstanding achievements, foster innovation and drive economic growth within the province.
The expo and awards will be held at Mentors Country Estate in Jeffrey’s Bay, on 25 to 27 September 2025.
“The ECTA will celebrate the exceptional contributions of stakeholders across the Eastern Cape’s diverse tourism landscape,” says Nqobile Nobs Qupe, committee member of the ECTA.
Adds Riaaz Lorgat, director: FED at Kouga Local Municipality, “These awards will acknowledge excellence in various sectors, highlighting the region’s unique offerings and solidifying its position as a premier tourism destination in South Africa.”
