Carolina Employment Business & Training Centre (CEBT) and Lamatsamo Holdings, in partnership with the Department of Basic Education (DBE), Ilima Coal Company (Pty) Ltd, and Pretorius Group of Companies (PGC), are proud to announce exceptional 2024 Matric results from our supported schools in Carolina.
Key highlights include
* Violet Jiyane Secondary School: 94.3% pass rate
* Carolina Combined School: 93.2% pass rate
* Zinikeleni Secondary School: 89.9% pass rate
These results demonstrate the success of our collaborative approach to education. Since 2015, we have played an active role in Carolina’s academic sphere, ensuring learners receive bursary funding, support for registration fees, skills development, and mathematics and science programs, thereby empowering Carolina’s youth.
Bonisile Shongwe, MD of Lamatsamo Holdings and Executive Director of CEBT, stated: “These outstanding results reflect our collective commitment to empowering Carolina’s youth. We extend our gratitude to the DBE, Ilima Coal, PGC, and all our partners. As we look to 2025, we call on all stakeholders to join us in pushing these achievements even higher, nurturing the next generation of leaders who will drive Carolina’s economic growth to new heights.”
We also acknowledge the crucial roles played by Dr. Mngomezulu, the circuit manager, and Mr. Lukhele, the centre manager, whose leadership has been instrumental in this success.
This achievement underscores the importance of collaboration between educational institutions, government bodies, and private sector partners in fostering academic excellence and community development.
