Cape Town, 28 July 2025 – Sporting legends from across the field will unite on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, for a high-energy touch rugby exhibition match at the Western Province Cricket Club – bringing together star power in support of youth development, education, and sport-driven opportunity.

This unique exhibition match will feature a line-up of celebrated athletes, including former All Blacks fly-half Carlos Spencer; ex-Springboks Juan de Jongh and Rudy Paige; and South African actor and comedian Siv Ngesi. They’ll be joined by other well-known sports figures in a match that celebrates the power of sport to transform lives.

Following the match, a symbolic handover of a R45,000 sponsorship will take place, awarded to an exceptional young South African girl who will be joining the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Programme in partnership with Generation Schools. The sponsorship, made possible through the generous support of Kensio House and former Proteas cricketer Steven Palframan, will cover a full year of education and structured football development, blending academic opportunity with global sporting inspiration.

Adding to the anticipation, those in attendance will receive exclusive access to a special announcement by Sekhukhune United.

Generation Schools, in association with GAC Motors and NutriTech, invites media to attend the event, where icons from rugby, cricket, and football are coming together in a show of unity for youth upliftment through sport and education. The event offers vibrant visuals, high-profile interviews, and the story of a life-changing sponsorship. With the major PSL-related announcement set to be revealed exclusively at the event, this is also an opportunity for media to be first on the scene for a meaningful moment in South African sport.
